My conclusion.NOBODY seams to know about Permanent DTC or at least how to erase it. She said no, that would be my responsibility afterwards.just drive 50 miles mixed driving. I asked if that would include the specific drive cycle in order to erase Permanent DTC. She then told me since I had installed a new maf sensor it needed to be synced/ would cost $140 and that this was something only a Nissan dealership could do, but if it didn’t solve the problem, I was out of that money. I told her that was exactly what I was afraid of.you bring the car in for something simple, and it starts adding on (I read somewhere about another juke owner with same problem, ended up costing them thousands). She told me they needed to diagnose.1st culprit Maf sensor, then Pcv valve, then Throttle body. Asked to speak to a tech regarding this matter. So I called the dealership were we bought the car. I called Nissan North America, but they were useless. Needles to say, check engine light came back.

But he claimed my generic scanner could be a hit or miss.his was several thousands of dollars.so I let him. The tech erased my check engine light, even though I told him that it would just come back. Took my car to an Indy Nissan shop.they too were not aware of Permanent DTC/ specific drive cycle. This advicer knew nothing of Permanent DTC’s/ drive cycle. I declined, knowing my car was running good/ no symptoms hinting towards throttle body.

They checked and told me I was within 8 years/80k warranty, took my car in, THEN told me that they couldn’t update ecu, but rather needed to diagnose throttle body. I took it to a Nissan dealership in town, and explained my findings.asked for an ecu update/ drive cycle. After some research regarding Permanent DTC.I now understand that these errors can not be erased like normal with any kind of scanner (this is something the EPA implemented in all post 2010 cars).but after a fix has been done, a specific drive cycle needs to be performed in order to erase it. Keep in mind, all this time the car is running perfect, no stalling, no idle problems etc Approx another week the check engine light came back on. A week later check engine light came back on.bought new MAF sensor from dealership $240 part number 22680-1MB0A.cleared code with OBD scanner. I cleaned maf sensor and installed new air filter. 68k check engine light came on.P0101.maf sensor. 2011 Nissan Juke, we bought new at dealership.
